All 13 entries below include the 2027 COLA (the January 2028 entry reflects SSI timing a year out; its amount will depend on the 2028 COLA, announced in October 2027). The pattern that matters for budgeting: an "extra" deposit is always the next month's money arriving early, never a bonus.

Which months have two SSI payments in 2027?
April, July and December 2027 each have two deposits, because the following month's payment arrives early (May's on April 30, August's on July 30, and January 2028's on December 31, 2027). Symmetrically, January, May and August 2027 have no SSI deposit at all. The yearly total is the same 12 payments.
Why is there no SSI payment in January 2027?
Because January's payment arrived early, on December 31, 2026. Nothing is missing or skipped — SSI simply pays ahead when the 1st is a weekend or holiday rather than late.
When is the SSI payment for January 2028 paid?
On Friday, December 31, 2027, because January 1, 2028 falls on a Saturday and is a federal holiday.
